Mirage: A Poem

MIRAGE

The gay man is invisible
He's a top
He's a bottom
He's masc
He's fem
What are his stats?
That's all they care about
How fat is that ass?
How big is that dick?
A collection of body parts
He forgets his soul
Because no one asks him
What his interests are
As a kid
He was "Different"
They'd put him in a category
Tease him.
He began to believe
The titles they gave him

But isn't he multifaceted?

Isn't he human?

The rainbow was a mirage
Because all he feels
Is isolation
Judgment
Not always from the outside
But often, from within
The so called
Community.
